About Dr. Beshar

Dr. Beshar has been in dental practice for twenty-one years. He completed his undergraduate studies at Michigan State University and obtained a Doctorate of Medical Dentistry from the Fairleigh Dickinson School of Dentistry. He served as General Practice Resident at Loma Linda University in California.

After a few years in various dental practices, Dr. Beshar realized the need for advanced dental training in order to be a master dentist. For ten years he completed weeklong courses at the L.D. Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education, an internationally renowned school for post-graduate dental studies. He was invited to return as visiting faculty and now teaches other students up-to-date restorative and cosmetic procedures.

Dr Beshar's talents have been featured in many publications including The New York Times, INC Magazine, Newsweek, and Working Woman. In 1990, he was awarded a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (F.A.G.D.), an organization dedicated to continuing dental education. He has completed the Aesthetic Dentistry Residency at Louisiana State University, The Dawson Master's Forum in Florida, and the eight levels of the Center for Restorative Excellence (C.R.E.) in Seattle, Washington. Besides teaching at the Pankey Institute and C.R.E., he lectures at NYU, Columbia Dental School, and local study clubs. He is Past President of the Columbia Study Club.

He is a member of The American Dental Association, The Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, The American Equilibration Society, The American Academy of Osseointegration, The Academy of General Dentistry, and The New York Academy of Dentistry.

Dr. Beshar leads a rich personal life volunteering as a reading tutor in his local school district. He also serves on the board of The Hudson Guild, a non-profit community-building center for the underprivileged in Chelsea. He is in lay leadership at his church. Dr. Beshar's favorite job is parenting his daughters, Ana and Olivia.

"Dr. Marc Beshar is dedicated to dentistry as an art as well as science. He is the consummate dentist whose expertise and enthusiasm inspire me to want to excel in my own fields of endeavor."

- James DiLuzio

"Marc Beshar is exactly the kind of trusted medical professional you want on your healthcare team. He is thorough, professional, up-to-date on the latest developments in dentistry and obviously cares for you as a patient and a person."

- Lee Buckley

"After getting to know him and seeing how lovely he was with my parents, I also became a patient/client. And that was years and years ago and things just keep getting better ... plus he has a love staff."

- A. Allen

"There is no one in any profession that I could or would recommend more highly than Dr. Marc Beshar. It took me years of "auditioning" dentists in New York City before I finally found the dentist that I'm sure I'll be staying with until he retires."

- Amy Simmons

"The only thing I'd change about Marc Beshar after 13 years as his patient is the spelling of his name. I'd drop the last three letters and substitute a "t". He's the best. So's his staff."

- Ed Breslin
