After a few years of practicing dentistry, Dr. Beshar realized the need for advanced dental training in order to be a master dentist. For ten years he completed weeklong courses at the L.D. Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education, an internationally renowned school for post-graduate dental studies. He was invited to return as visiting faculty and now teaches other dentists up-to-date restorative and cosmetic dental procedures.

In the 1990’s Dr. Beshar continued his quest for knowledge and began attending the Kois Center in Seattle. After completing all courses there, he was invited to teach as a Mentor. He is now in the company of over 200 of the best dentists in the world who meet every July to review the previous year’s published science. After evaluating the quality of the studies, all the dentists in the group change their office procedures to incorporate this science and teach these new techniques to incoming student dentists. The outcome is dental offices using standard techniques so they can compare their results, publish well-documented literature and learn even more.

Dr. Beshar continued his search for excellence by further training and he continues this today. “The more I learn, the more I learn how much I don’t know. The changes in dentistry since dental school days in the Seventies are hard to believe. One reason why I enjoy my profession and stay enthusiastic is because of the challenge to grow and develop. Every day, I experience great purpose by helping others while knowing I am using the most contemporary knowledge and technologies”

One of the biggest changes for Dr. Beshar has been his use of the Internet. Now that he has a wealth of knowledge and experience available from an elite group of dentists with like-minded training, he can easily converse with dentists from all over the world and share opinions. His patients are now able to have the advantage of these many heads working together to receive the very best care.
